As an avid collector with over 1,300 sand samples, this curated gallery showcases a variety of colors, constituents, and shapes of sand grains from around the world. My hope is that others can experience the amazement of seeing beauty in the tiniest forms.
Geologically, sand is defined by a grain size between 0.063 mm - 2 mm. Gravel is defined a grain size larger than 2 mm.
