SAND AND GRAVEL
As an avid collector with over 1,700 sand samples, this curated gallery showcases a variety of colors, constituents, and shapes of sand grains from around the world. My hope is that others can experience the amazement of seeing beauty in the tiniest forms.

Strictly speaking, sand is geologically defined by a grain size between 0.063 mm - 2 mm. Gravel is defined a grain size larger than 2 mm. For ease of language, I use the term "sand" here informally, to encompass both sand and gravel sized grains.
