Sand Slides for Microscopes

Coming soon:

Sand slides for microscope coming soon! These will be available in sets of 10, each set with a variety of different types and localities.

These slides are best suited for stereoscopes with 10x - 40x magnification, although they can also be used with a compound microscope in lower magnifications. The slides are 2"x2" so they do not fit into a regular slide holder on a compound microscope, but are still usable as long as care is taken when handling.

EXAMPLES:

Examples of locations available: USA (many localities), Easter Island, France, Costa Rica, Canary Islands, South Africa, Greece, Algeria, Iceland, Namibia, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, Brazil, Norway, etc.

Examples of compositions available: siliciclastic, pure quartz, oolitic, foraminiferal, garnet, coral, biogenic, volcanic, fossiliferous, obsidian, olivine, micaceous, etc.

Environments include dive sands, desert dunes, rivers, volcanoes, beaches, etc.

More information coming soon.
