Diopside, Chondrodite, Calcite (Fluorescent)
This is a large fluorescent piece from the famous Long Lake Zinc Mine. Specimen from this locality are often photographed with very long exposures, creating a much more vibrant image than is true to life. I often use this technique when taking photos for social media, however the fluorescent image you see here is much closer to reality. Specimen from this location are known to be quite beautiful, but their fluorescent response is weaker than those from other localities.
The fluorescent image was taken using a filter longwave (365 nm) UV light. If you are unsure about the wavelength of your own UV light, please contact me prior to purchasing. I do not accept returns if your UV light is not filtered or the required wavelength.
